General Pre-employment Assessment (GPA)

This baseline medical assessment will identify any pre-existing or underlying conditions that may affect a worker’s ability to safely perform their job. It covers the essential fit for work tests and includes a full medical assessment, audiometry test, spirometry test, and a drug and alcohol screen.

Audiometry

Damage to the ear or exposure to loud sounds for a long period can cause hearing loss. An audiometry exam tests how well your hearing functions. It tests both the intensity and the tone of sounds, balance issues, and other issues related to the function of the inner ear.

Spirometry

Spirometry is a standard test that doctors use to determine how well your lungs are functioning. The test works by measuring airflow into and out of your lungs. To take a spirometry test, you sit and breathe into a small machine called a spirometer. The results of a spirometry test can help diagnose obstructive lung disease and other respiratory conditions.

Drug & Alcohol Test

Drug testing should be an integral part of your safety program. Under the Work Health and Safety Act, persons in control of a business or undertaking are required to identify and minimise risk factors at work. This includes the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse in the workplace. Our accurate drug and alcohol test includes a breath alcohol screen and a urine drug screen to Standard AS/NZS 4308 and supports you in maintaining a safe workplace in a sensitive and professional manner.
